Hundreds of students at Pitt Community College got a crash course Wednesday on loans, budgets and finances.
Around 600 students mixed and mingled with financial leaders in the community to learn more about healthy ways to manage money and pay back loans.
Susan Marsh, academic advisor, says, “We’ve got the academic plan covered but we felt we needed to have them sort of have a financial plan in order.”
Students could sit through seminars about student loans and meet local professionals to talk more about how to properly manage their money and credit.
First year students say the expo simplified a lot of the confusion that surrounds financial planning.
