Consumers confused about interest-free offers and other financial headaches

Sometimes when you run into a financial glitch or roadblock, it can make you feel a tad better to know that you’re not alone.

So consumers age 62 and older might appreciate a snapshot of complaints provided by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau about where they’ve had troubles with their finances.

Some complaints, frankly, involve things that you just wouldn’t imagine would be all that hard to do. Like disputing a charge with credit card companies. But older consumers told the federal financial watchdog that they’ve had difficulty attempting to get their money back when they’ve been the victim of a scam.
