Craig Carson, CEO – Jeco Plastic Products
Craig S. Carson is the CEO of Jeco Plastic Products, a rotational molder and twin sheet pressure former of both custom and standard products for the aerospace, printing and automotive industries. Jeco designs and produces large products requiring unusual thermoplastic resins, including thermoplastic composites with continuous fibers. Jeco has been known for over 40 years for its original design, theoretical and practical testing capabilities, unusual materials and unique processing expertise for large, high tolerance parts.
Carson holds a BS (eng.) degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point (1968), as well as a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School (1975). He served in the United States Army in the infantry, commanding an airborne infantry company in combat.
Murat Muftari, Senior International Trade Specialist – U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration
Murat Muftari joined the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration in 2013 as a Senior International Trade Specialist. Mr. Muftari founded the U.S. Commercial Service Vets Go Global initiative in 2014, with a mission of proactively engaging and supporting the veteran-owned business community in international business development and expansion. Mr. Muftari is a former U.S. Special Forces operator with multiple tours of duty abroad having been awarded a Bronze Star in 2006.
He transitioned his defense career into the private sector where he started a defense consultancy with a central focus on developing nations in the Balkans. Mr. Muftari holds a BS in Global Business and Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a MA in International Relations from American University.
Michael K. Jackson, Lead Business Development Officer on the Minority and Women-Owned Business team – Export-Import Bank of the United States
Michael K. Jackson serves as Lead Business Development Officer on the Minority and Women-Owned Business team at EXIM. In this capacity, he cultivates and manages relationships with business organizations that represent Asian American, Caribbean American and veteran-owned businesses. He is passionate about educating small businesses about the benefits of doing business globally. As a Caribbean American, Mr. Jackson is also passionate about promoting trade and investment linkages between the U.S. and the Caribbean region.
Mr. Jackson earned an MBA in International Business from American Intercontinental University and a B.S. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland’s Europe campus in Heidelberg, Germany. Mr. Jackson is proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
