SAN FRANCISCO – There are more than 7,000 different nonprofits helping veterans in the U.S. How can veterans and active-duty personnel know which ones are the most effective?
For Veterans Day 2016, GreatNonProfits.org has named 31 Top-Rated Veterans Nonprofits – selected for earning the highest ratings in helping those in need. The list can help both veterans and active-duty personnel identify the best veterans’ nonprofits for volunteering their time, directing interested people where to donate, or for seeking assistance for themselves, their families or others.
The Top-Rated Veterans Charities list includes nonprofits that assist veterans, as well as those that provide services to military families, and many others.

“This Veteran Day, we are proud and honored to help people know the Top-Rated Veterans Nonprofits.” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “There are many organizations devoted to supporting veterans as well as active-duty personnel and their families, but sometimes it can be difficult to know what each organization does. We want to help people know which are among the best to be involved in – either as a volunteer, donor or aid recipient. And we appreciate the many servicemen, servicewomen and veterans who have contributed to GreatNonprofit reviews to help others learn about the best in veterans nonprofits.”
